Employment Opportunities       
 

 

HHA opportunities (0.6 – 1.0 FTE):

 

Qualifications:

·         Certified in the State of Minnesota as a Nursing Assistant

·         Successfully completes the Hospice of the Twin Cities home health aide competency exam.

·         Previous experience in hospice, home health, geriatrics/long term care, oncology or general medical surgical nursing preferred

·         Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of care

 

Responsibilities:

bullet

Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, provides personal care for the patient and assists with activities of daily living.

bullet

At times works in office areas, but most frequently works throughout long term health care facilities, hospitals, clinics, and patient’s personal homes.

bullet

Works within a flexible geographic area, works approximately 3 weekends in a 3-month period.

bullet

Provides own transportation

 

 

RN opportunities (full time):

 

Qualifications:

·                     Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of MN with at least one year of nursing experience

·                     Previous experience in hospice, home health, geriatrics/long term care, oncology or general medical surgical nursing preferred

·                     Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of care

 

Case Management (full-time -- 40 hours/week):  Member of interdisciplinary team responsible for skilled nursing care, focusing on symptom management and pain control for terminally ill individuals in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care.  Carries caseload within northern part of the cities across east-west, works approximately 3-4 weekends in 3 month period, occasionally may carry pager and work nights to cover for regular on-call staff.  Day positions with occasional nights.
